“Thirteen people from the same family perished in a road accident early on Saturday morning along the Masii – Mbooni road. The thirteen 8 women, 3 children and 2 men were among twenty people who were going to pay dowry in Tawa from Kangundo before the vehicle they were in plunged into Isivuni River. 7 others were injured and were rushed to Machakos Level 5 Hospital for treatment. The 14-seater matatu is also said to have been overloaded as it had 20 people on board”.
